For my audio work, which essentially consists of documentaries, corporate and institutional videos, this is the perfect bang-for-the-buck boom pole. While it’s not very long, it has enough reach and packs down small enough that a one-man operation can manage it – though having a dedicated boom operator will obviously be much better. The low cost is also a huge advantage for someone just starting out, as I was when I bought this. It is also quite robust and has held up to somewhat rough treatment quite well. One note – you will want to invest in a shock mount system to manage handling noise, which is an added cost over that of this product.Surprisingly for its size and name, it can balance a Rode NTG4+ or a Sennheiser MK-416 in a blimp with a Dead Wombat cover. You will, in time, be better served with longer, lighter boompoles, especially those with added features such as an internal housing for cables or a carbon-fiber construction (both of which this pole lacks). But for less than ₹ 4,000, you get an outstanding product that will get you shooting and recording right away – and that is, by far, the most important thing.

The product is good, packing was great. It’s nice and has a firm grip. Feels kind of solid.But only one thing to consider.. IT IS NOT A NORMAL BOOM POLE!!! It has a micro thread screw on the mouth, which is to be noted and considered at the time of buying. You may not be able to use your regular mike holder clip. You have to use the smaller one or use it with a socket attachment.

実物は想像以上に細いので不安でしたが、とにかく軽くて取り回しが楽です。この短さで現場で使えるのか、とも思いましたが、カメラマン越しのインタビューでも普通に使えました。たしかにテレビ撮影程度なら、経験上コレより長いものは必要になったことがないし、必要ならプロダクションが持ってるのを予備で持っていけばいいでしょう。しかしこれ以上の長さが必要になるのは映画とかの撮影でしょうね。長さ調整のロック機構は、リングを回すのではなくロッド自体をねじる感じです。ひどく音が出ますので収録中は御法度。
