Built like a tank! True. In this category, this is the best. Very faithful to the companies description. Good quality and sturdy. Photo Vatika’s delivery through DTDC is slow and uncaring. But they delivered it by the promised time. Amazon.in is doing a better job. But it is a pity that Amazon.in is not selling PSA1, studio arm and PSM1 shock mount. These are really needed things to make good use of the mic. It delivers great quality. I used it for a couple of weeks.

USB plug and play. It even works with my iPad Air with a USB C adapter. Perfect to just plug and use in conference calls or just carry it with you. It definitely isn’t a small mic. It also is a bit heavy. It does lack some bass when compared to condenser mics but has much better ambient noise reduction

Loved it. BUT GOT USED ONE

We bought this mic for the youtube recording. The mic we received had too low voice output. When we tried increasing the output using software, the voice started cracking. Not worth the money at all.

Amazingly Clear Sound With Hardly Any Background Noise And No Need To Edit The Sound
Before purchasing this mic I spent a good few days reading reviews of different microphones. I needed it to make video tutorials and do podcasts but I also needed a mic that produced great quality sound out of the box without having to edit it and improve the sound quality. I first bought the Audio Technica AT2020 USB + mic and tested it out. Since my home is on a main road and the sound indoors is not very well insulated the mic was picking up a lot of background noise like cars and buses driving by. In fact it was very sensitive to background noise and I had to turn down the gain quite a bit so much that the recording volume was really low when I played it back. Obviously, I decided that the AT2020 USB + mic was not for me. I then read some more reviews and decided to try out the RODE Podcaster USB mic as I have seen some very successful internet marketers using this mic in their videos. Since it was the priciest out of the USB mics I thought that maybe it’s due to the high quality that it is so pricey. In my very first test I was impressed by the RODE Podcaster USB mic as my voice sounded so clear when I listened to the recording and it hardly picked up any background noise (even though there is a lot of background noise in my home). I was also able to turn the gain up to almost 70% without it picking up much background noise. I’ve only had to test this mic out twice before deciding that this is the mic for me. I know that the price of this mic might put some people off but if you are planning to use a mic a lot for whatever reason then it is worth investing in a good quality mic as it will sound more professional and with this mic you don’t have to worry about improving the sound quality after recording (unless you want to of course). It also comes with a 10 year warranty which is incredible.

This is the perfect mic for me
You wouldn’t find many good reviews for this mic, so I decided to summarise my research and why I love this mic. This is a dynamic mic – so it picks up only the speaker’s voice – which is in very good quality. There is no gain on the mic – you can only change the volume level of live monitoring – so the amplitude is not very high if you are not close to the mic, but because of sound quality you can easily motify that in post (Audacity).I was looking for a podcast mic – without having to use an audio interface and this solved the problem. And if it might help, I love the sound from this mic better than blue yeti.
