Rode SC7 3.5mm TRS to TRRS Patch Cable
- Rode SC7 is a high-quality shielded patch cable, the gold-plated contacts are colour coded, with grey indicating the TRRS output and red indicating the TRS end.
- Rode SC7 helps to connect TRS output microphone to be connected with TRRS output devices like Smartphone both Android / iPhone, Tablets, Laptops & PC’s
- Since the protocol of Smartphones, Tablets, Laptops, PC’s are TRRS, the microphone with TRS cables will not work with these devices. Make sure that you are using the correct cable or convertor.
- It helps Rode Video Micro / Video Mic Go / Video Mic Pro + to be connected to TRRS devices. As the cable supplied with these microphones can only be used with TRS devices like camera, recorders.
- Rode Wireless Go both Black and White version comes with Rode SC2 which is TRS to TRS patch cable, in order to connect these microphone with TRRS devices Rode SC7 patch cable is necessary.
- If you are using any brand microphone which has TRS output you can use Rode SC7 to connect with TRRS devices.

Here’s the complete story.I wanted to use this to convert my headphone outs from my audio interface to be able to input as a microphone to my phone.Well, that didn’t work!But given the quality of the product, and being a filmmaker and musician trying to build a home studio, I have no doubts I’ll find use of this product in one place or another.The quality is phenomenal. Way better than all the wires and extensions I’ve ever owned and I’ve owned quite a few ones ranging from the ones that go bad in a month to about 2-3 months. And I come from a background where I also have experience with expensive guitar cables to plug into my amps and pedals. This little thing is absolutely stunningly built. (If it wasn’t then I would never buy anything Rode ever again).

Tried many cables which offered mic and speaker input (one was a TRRS to TRRS cable) – Didn’t work somehow. This is expensive but v reliable and GETS THE JOB DONE!.Don’t bother wasting your time with other solutions – if you want to connect your high end audio equipment (audio interface in my case) to your smartphone and use quality audio input for your video recording/streaming on your smartphone. Life saver for me.(Note – the cable is short – but i already had a long TRS male to female extension cable which solves my length issue).

As we all know that Rode products are little bit more expensive, so that’s why this is also expensive. Rest it is working fine and amazing. Qualitywise , no issues.

Basically this cable is used to connect rode microphones to phones, laptops etc. Connect the black pin to Rode and the other side to our phone, laptop, ipad etc. I successfully connected iPhone and Macbook Air M1 to Rode Wireless Go using this cable. But the price 1k seems to be costly for this simple cable.Tips: when you are playing the recorded voice, make sure the cable is unplugged. Otherwise you cannot hear anything.

if you want to connect rode mic on iphone then you must need this cable .In 2021 I bought this cable but after 2 year of uses now it stops working, so i have to buy new one.

Ich persönlich finde es schade, dass nur das TRS zu TRS Kabel im Set vom Rode Wireless Go dabei ist. Dabei könnte man doch einfach 2 Kaufmöglichkeiten anbieten. Eine davon mit diesem TRS zu TRRS, was man braucht, wenn man das Mikrosystem an ein mobiles Gerät wie Smartphone oder Pad anschliessen möchte.Bei iPhone und iPad braucht man dann jeweils noch einen Zusatzadapter oder je nach Modell sogar 2 ;-). Aber das hat mir dem Kabel hier ja nichts zu tun.Auf jeden Fall funktioniert dieses Kabel hier sehr gut, ich finde es einfach nicht wirklich günstig, deshalb nur 3 Sterne beim Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis.
