Mooer UK Gold 900

Classic British crunch with real mid bite. The Mooer 002 UK Gold 900 Micro Preamp captures classic British crunch, based on a staple of in-house amplification at venues and studios worldwide, with the mid bite that shaped modern rock. Like every Mooer Micro Preamp, it has two channels, its own speaker cabinet simulation and two footswitch modes – all in a tiny metal box.

Why customers choose it

• Real amp character: the mid-range bite of a classic British venue amp
• Two channels: clean and drive, each with its own 3-band EQ, gain and volume
• Play direct: switch the cab sim on to connect to a sound card, powered monitor or PA – no amp or speaker cab needed
• Use with your amp: or switch the cab sim off and feed a power amp or your amp’s effects return
• Takes no space: micro-size pedal for any board

Who it is for

Guitarists who want a specific amp sound on a small board, players who record at home through an audio interface, and gigging players who plug straight into the PA at church, college or club shows.

Specifications

Good to know

• Power supply is not included – use a 9V DC centre-negative adapter that gives at least 300 mA (Mooer recommends its Micro Power).
• For delay, reverb or modulation, put those pedals between the preamp output and the power amp or effects return.
• This is a preamp only – it has no built-in delay or reverb, even though the maker’s spec list mentions them.

FAQ

Can I use it without an amp?

Yes. Turn on the cab sim and connect to an audio interface, powered monitor or PA.

Can I use it with my own amp?

Yes – into a power amp or the effects return of your amp. Mooer recommends a tube power amp for the best result.
