I like Behringer as they make decent PAs and mics for a little more reasonable price than Shure. This one was very inexpensive, and I just needed a lavalier for one breakout room at a conference to use with a portable PA speaker. It worked fine. I thought the GHz range would be a drawback, but in a medium sized room (30 people) it worked well and got good reception, no crackling or dropouts, in the 15 to 20 ft range. Not sure how it would do further away, but it is not intended for a huge ballroom. The plug into the transmitter is a 1/4 instrument jack, a little strange for a lavalier wireless transmitter, but the mic worked as well as any others I have used. Receiver plugs into an XLR jack, so you need a male to female XLR cable to connect it to a powered speaker or small PA system. Good for what it is, and it worked fine.

Has worked fantastically in my classroom for the past 6-8 weeks. Just had to replace batteries, which is awesome after using it for 5-6 hours a day. Love that it shuts itself off after being on mute for a long period of time. I unplug the USB component every afternoon because I’m afraid it will become broken off if a custodian bumps it.

I have a Behringer MPA40BT-Pro Portable PA speaker and bought this wireless microphone figuring (1) it was from the same company as my portable speaker, and (2) looked super simple to “plug-n-play”… I mean, that MPA40 has a specific port on the back with this specific wireless microphone’s “dongle” is supposed to go! It worked great the first time I tried it out (you know… wanted to make sure it worked so that if it didn’t, I could return it). Then I packed it away for a couple of months before I tried using it at a gig. Yup, you guessed it! It didn’t work and then it was past the time I could return it! I put it at 3 stars for value for money, sound quality, and quality of material because WHEN it worked, it was fine. But the overall rating of 1 star is basically because it doesn’t work :-).

Behringer need to be clearer about calling their gear ‘dual mode’! So, what this means is you can use it with a PC as well as the Behringer ultra link. Not as I thought, 2 x mics connecting to the one receiver. They do have another model that does this, and it says exactly the same ‘Dual mode’
