The HyDrive Design
HyDrive speakers feature carefully crafted paper/aluminum hybrid cone drivers. The hybrid construction delivers an exceptional blend of warmth and attack that can’t be matched by traditional all-paper woofers. The use of rare-earth neodymium magnets also helps maintain lightweight portability without sacrificing any of the legendary Hartke attack.
Power and Portability
In addition to the flawless sound of the HyDrive speakers, the HD500 offers tremendous power in a highly portable design. Its lightweight Class D amplifier produces an earth-shattering 500 watts of power capable of filling any rehearsal room, recording studio, or performance venue. And with a total weight of only 35 pounds, the HD500 can be easily transported anywhere more bass is needed with its molded strap handle.
Shape Your Tone
As a result of Hartke’s many years of involvement in the bass community, the HD500 features a selectable shape control. This feature activates a specialized preset EQ curve designed to enhance your tone by selectively boosting and cutting across the frequency range. The adjacent Shape variable filter and 3-band EQ provide further customization. With the exceptional tone of HyDrive speakers housed in a durable, highly portable enclosure, the Hartke HD500 Bass Combo is able to perform at levels far beyond ordinary bass combos.
