Ideal for creative collaborations or studio headphone audio distribution, the Wolff Audio Collaborator is a 4-channel headphone amplifier with four discrete, independent Class-AB headphone amps and four independent level controls. With the integrated HearMe foldback mic on the front panel, you can easily engage talkback function without any further equipment.
The front panel provides the level controls for each headphone output, talkback level control, and mic pregain trim, which is used in conjunction with the rear-panel 1/4″ TRS input for daisy-chaining your Collaborator with more units for expanded headphone distribution, ideal for larger ensembles like choirs and orchestras. Talkback can be conveniently activated via the sustain footswitch input. The Collaborator provides balanced XLR 3-pin inputs for professional stereo audio input. Power is provided by a locking 5-pin DC power input and an external power supply that ensures more than enough juice for the headphone outputs. The Collaborator includes a power supply.
Integrated HearMe Foldback Microphone
The HearMe foldback mic feature located on the front panel includes mic gain trim and foldback level controls to feed mic level into each headphone. This feature is what enables artist collaboration and helps maintain creative momentum without interruption.Background singers won’t need to slide off their headphone to hear what’s happening in the room, they just step on a foot switch to turn on the HearMe mic. Drummers can bring up lots of room drum sound any way they like it and have it only in their headphones. Collaborator is intended to be very easy to use and help streamline group creative processes.
Equipped for Expansion
A rear-panel 1/4″ TRS headphone level input is provided for combining multiple Collaborators, to expand the number of headphone outputs needed for even larger groups such as choirs, horn sections, or a full orchestra. Additional rear-panel audio Inputs are full scale +4 dBu over XLR. A rear-panel standard sustain footswitch jack is used for TalkBack mic activation.
