The Moog Subsequent 37 CV has a smooth keybed with improved playability, a powerful headphone amplifier for live monitoring, and analogue signal route enhancements that further broaden your musical palette. From gigantic basses to lashing leads to swanky pads, the Subsequent 37 is a real performers’ synthesiser that gives you the hands-on control you need to put genuine passion into your live piano performance.
Along with control-voltage output flexibility, the Subsequent 37 provides an improved analogue signal route for a wider range of sounds. The re-tuned Multidrive circuit allows you to increase the gain for a more extreme spectrum of dirt that may blow through a track with greater aggression than the Sub 37’s rather mild grumble and grit. The Subsequent 37 mixer also has double the headroom, and the Ladder Filter gain staging has been tweaked to improve harmonic saturation and signal compressibility. Overall, the Subsequent 37 is an appealing analogue synth value, with classic fat and punchy Moog sound, real-time tweakability, and a gorgeous, bespoke chassis with hardwood end cheeks that was meticulously built in Asheville, NC.
We’ve had a lot of enquiries concerning the Sub 37’s Duo Mode architecture, which is shared with the Subsequent 37. This is a two-note paraphonic mode, which means that each of the two oscillators can play a separate note while using the same audio route. You may hold a bottom drone note while playing lead over it, play in fifths, and produce other unique musical effects that a monophonic synthesiser cannot.
Designed for hands-on control.
The Subsequent 37, like the Sub 37 Tribute Edition, has 37 keys, 40 knobs, and 74 switches and is designed to be manipulated. Dedicated controls allow you to modify your sounds in real-time while performing, and the extra-large filter cutoff knob is simple to reach with your hands while your eyes are elsewhere. Setting up an arpeggiated sequence allows you to spend hours tuning knobs and generating new sounds. You’ll never have to navigate menus or remember which button controls the shift function you want to use.
