The Portable Keyboard That Sparks Your Child’s Passion for Music

heading

Music is the greatest gift you can give your child. Whether you’re passing on your passion — or giving them an opportunity you never had — encouraging your son or daughter to learn keyboards will give them a hobby for life, a sociable skill that opens doors, and maybe even a career. But it’s natural to have concerns. After all, some keyboards can be expensive, bulky and uninspiring, taking up valuable space and abandoned when your child loses interest.

Created by the Roland brand that is acclaimed by professionals around the world for its reliability, quality and expression, the E-X20 is the ideal first step for any aspirational family. This modern home keyboard addresses the drawbacks of most rival models, offering a budget-conscious , space-saving cabinet and highly portable 5 kg weight.

The E-X20’s high-quality piano sounds are ideal for music lessons — where traditional tones are always required — but this model also offers alternative onboard sounds for when your child want to get creative. Even solo practice is inspiring on the E-X20, thanks to the built-in Arranger feature that lets kids play along with full musical accompaniment, getting them ready for their first band or orchestra.

Pro onboard piano tones keep them inspired and improving

There’s nothing more discouraging for a first-time pianist than flat tone and lifeless feel. On the other hand, when a young player has professional tones and a responsive keyboard at their fingertips, the buzz will keep them inspired and keen to progress. Despite its entry-level, the new Roland E-X20 features an onboard selection of the same rich, responsive tones that you’ll find on our world-renowned top-spec digital pianos and synths. The traditional piano tones are ideal for music lessons, and with further tone settings that suit classical, pop, rock and jazz, your child can choose the perfect sound for their first pieces — then perform them with clarity, confidence and expression.

fe2

Guerilla beatmaking.

People who make music with SP samplers love the rapid workflow, portability, and tactile approach they offer. The SP-404MKII takes this experience even further, retaining the lightweight-yet-rugged design while adding features that make it even easier to create in any scenario. Bang out beats anywhere with AA or mobile battery power, capture audio from or stream direct to your mobile device via USB, or collaborate with a partner using the dual headphones outputs and mic/guitar input

fe3

Make music anywhere with portable 5 kg weight, onboard speakers and battery operation

Full-size pianos can spell frustration. Maybe you want to listen to your child’s latest song in the living room, but you’re busy making dinner in the kitchen. Perhaps your child wants to jam at a musical friend’s house, but you’re struggling to carry their instrument down to the car. While an 88-key digital piano typically weighs over 15 kg — and takes effort to transport — the Roland E-X20 sets you free. With its manageable size and portable 5 kg weight, it’s a breeze for kids to move this keyboard around your home, and equally easy to stow it in a car or carry it on public transport. Plus, in the summer, while other pianists are forced to play indoors, the Roland E-X20 gets your child out and about, with battery operation and onboard speakers that let them perform at a garden party or practise in the park.

The trusted brand that’s chosen by the world’s musicians

middle

Buying a piano is a big investment, and nothing gives you greater peace of mind than choosing a brand whose products are respected around the world. Roland’s renowned electronic instruments include digital stage pianos, synths and electronic drums, and the range has won acclaim from musicians at every level of the industry, from beginner to professional. Since 1972, our mission has been to help musicians enrich their lives with music — and when you find the Roland logo on the E-X20, you can rest assured that it’s the mark of quality, expressiveness, creativity and durability.

Not a single helpful piece of review from our fellow countrymen. Anyways, I m gonna write down some to help others out, which I was seeking during pre purchasing phase.1. Packaging: As Expected. Well packed. Whats in the box: Keyboard, Music Stand, Manual, Adapter. At first you might not notice where the adapter is. Its glued in the above corner of the left side thermocal. Dont panic. No Bag included.2. Sounds: SO the most important factor for me was sounds. For the price you pay, you get few decent sounds. The Grand Piano sound is good at this price point. We can ramp it up by applying the Hall reverb, or adding the DSP effect. Its nothing comparable to VST pianos, Or Roland FP 30, or Motif. It has only 3 velocity samples, so not much dynamic level. Anyways at this price point you can not expect that. Acoustic Pianos are also an usable one. Connecting it with stereo monitors gives much better sounds. Then we have 2-3 usable EP tone, Chromatic percussion tones are decent, anyways I dont use them most of the time. Bass guiter we have a few. Guitar, acoustic, electric reminded me of cheaper Casio tones. Strings hardly 1-2 usable. There are some good Sax tones. Lead and Pad tones are, again, Nothing special. Piano + Warm Pad, was good though. Drums, we got 3 -4 good kits if you want to practice finger drumming.I dont know why my Countrymen go gaga for Indian tones, provided the fact that Indian Melody is primarily based on Mir, or Slide, so a Keyboard never going to Replicate them well. A ROLI seaboard is coming closer though. Anyways I never found any decent Sarod or Sitar tone ever in a keyboard, even the VSTs fails to mimic them because of the articulations involved in the playing styles. Anyways Santoor, Harmonium tones are decent. Some of the Flutes are not bad.Just to add, comparing to Yamaha PSR E 453-463, I have not played them. For my keen youtube observation, EX 20 seems to have better tones, so I went for it. I do believe, the pianos are better at this price point than yamaha 453.3. Sound Box. Although mentioned wattage of the boxes are lower that 453, I got a decent volume from the box to fill up a small room. No Distortions. Low Piano Notes, EX cant reproduce them fully through in built speakers. Like these price range pianos, we got a bump in EQ curve around 500-1.5K, higher piano notes, reproduced superbly.4. Features: All expected and only necessary stuffs. Styles are good. Auto accompany is good. Memory Banks works as expected. Only preset reverbs, delay. Harmony and some other functions. One track Recorder. Anyways for features, I think Casio 7300 will go to the top with Mic In, edit Tones options. E 453 second with the Cutoff/resonance/DJ styles (which are of no use for me).EX 20 will come last.5. Synth action keys with pretty good resistance. Playability is definitely a plus for this.Overall, its a decent buy and value for money. If you are looking for better tones than other in this price point, you cant go wrong with this. For features, definitely Casio or Yamaha is better. I got what I was looking for , a practice keyboard with decent piano/organ/EP tones to hit my blues away. Casio CTX 3000/5000 looks exciting though yet to hit the indian market, anyway i dont think it will come below 25000. So for the money, decent Buy.

  3. Amazon Customer

Bought this keyboard with doubts due to the reviews on the internet, but only because of the trust on Roland brand. Now I’m happy more than the expectations, it’s build quality, design, and almost realistic instrument sounds are beautiful than the others keyboard brands in this range.

  4. Amazon Customer

This keyboard was send faulty. Dnt buy it. 7 keys were not functioning. Only 7 days days return policy other products have 15 days replace or return policy. Really disappointed with the product. Wastage of money.

  5. Ayush

It is a good one.Good for upper than beginners and lower than professionals. As a customer I can say it is better than every keyboard under 20k infact from CTX 9000 .You will really enjoy it since it has 128 note polyphony which means more clear sound.Awesome delivery.Nice product.Recomendable.

  6. Amazon Customer

Keyboard volume is pretty low even at Max volume. Very bad product

  7. Divya mishra

Key response and output is goodBut do not expect great roland tones in this priceGood for kids to learn

  8. Sourav

Sounds really good . You won’t find it on any other entry level segment. Built is good but could have been a little better. Sometimes the keys feel a little tacky but rest assured one hell of a nice sounding instrument.
