A good, affordable Breaker
I got this to sample the mythical Bluesbreaker pedal. I heard amazing things about these sounding very close to the real thing. I got the real thing too, it sounds very close. Without trying, I happened to set both the Breaker and the Crab to the exact same setting. They have a similar sweet spot. If the big name-brand version is a little pricey for you, this is a good wallet friendly version.The only downside I say this pedal has is the gain knob turns very easily if you nudge it accidentally. Still though, I suggest everyone to try this, and just about any Mooer pedal a try. They are affordable copies of big name pedals, from the Bluesbreaker to a modified Boss DS-1. Give them a try if you can

Auch bei diesem Gerät aus der Mikro-Serie von Mooer ist das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis unschlagbar, zumindest über amazon! Das kleine Teil bietet genug Einstellmöglichkeiten, auf Grund der nicht farbig markierten Potis sollte man sich aber in der Life-Situation für einen Sound entschieden haben, weil man im Dunklen sonst sein Einstellungen nach Gehör vornehmen muss! Da man i.d.R aber sowieso mehrere Fußtreter im Einsatz hat, ist das für mich zu vernachlässigen. Der Crab tut das, was er soll: richtig schön warm bluesig “rocken”, ohne jemals nach Hard-Rock oder härter zu klingen. Das ganze Gezerre des Crab tarnsportiert einen cremigen, warmen Sound, der das Giatrrensignal niemals entstellt. So kann man beispeilsweise auch angezerrt Sweepings spielen oder gar zupfen, ohne das irgendetwas “überschlägt”: einfach Klasse! Die Verarbeitung ist tadellos, Metallgehäuse und ein unkaputtbarer Kippschalter, alles erklärt sich von selbst. Wer etwas “mehr Zerre” benötigt, dem rate ich zum Hustle-Drive aus dem Hause Mooer! Tipp: Soundbeispiele bei Musik-Produktiv oder youtube anhören!

Doesn’t “Break” the bank.
I’m assuming if you’re reading this than you know what circuit the Bluescrab is based on. This is my favourite low gain overdrive circuit. I’ve owned a handful of pedals based on this same circuit. One of which has a year long waiting list. The Bluescrab puts you in good company with any of these, nailing that tone and breakup. You’ll probably find that the knobs need to be turned up quite high on this one, but that’s normal. I added some special knobs to mine to give it a classic look of the original. Don’t let the price fool you, this is a great pedal.
