From the manufacturer

This latest generation of iTrack Studio gives you everything you need to record music on your Lightning-compatible iPad, Mac or PC. At the heart of it is the Focusrite iTrack Solo 2-in, 2-out audio interface with a Focusrite mic preamp developed with over 25 years of engineering experience and trusted by audio professionals the world over. In addition, there’s a high-quality studio condenser microphone, monitor headphones and all the cables you need. iTrack Studio is the best solution for recording on your iPad – or on a Windows or Mac computer.

Award-Winning Microphone Input

Studio Quality Condenser Microphone and Cable

The CM25 condenser microphone has been specially designed to catch the life and soul of your vocals and acoustic instruments. Clean, smooth and sensitive, it captures every nuance. If you can hear it, you can record it. There’s even a high-quality, 3m long low-noise microphone cable included to connect the CM25s to the iTrack Solo.

Studio Monitoring Headphones

The HP60 studio monitoring headphones give you a clear, accurate impression of exactly how your music sounds, so you can get it just the way you want it. When you play it back elsewhere, it’ll still sound great. They’re also really comfortable, which is great for those intensely creative sessions that last into the small hours.

Awesome pressure compared to windows user, it’s not just for iPad you can also used it for windows. The interface and the condenser is just awesome, headphones have to be serviced after 1 year… Now it’s working fine.

    Exceeds Expectations
This product happens to be of very good quality in regards to both the audio of the microphone and headset, as well as general build quality. This product has been with me for almost two years, and it has served me well, as it continues to be both my primary audio source / driver, as well as my microphone, of which it does a fantastic job. With a few nice options for both audio input and output, while still being rather small and compact, this product can work in even the smallest of offices, as it worked for me in just that when I first purchased it, and continues to work very well in my new office. Just be sure to purchase and anti vibration suspension microphone shock mount, to ensure the best safety of your microphone along with stability, and an adjustable microphone suspension boom arm. Kudos to you for doing some research!

Not sure what the Mac version looks like but I am struggling with the PC version
Not as user friendly as I would have hoped, connected it to my PC but had to download “Ableton Lite” software in order to use it which is also not the most user friendly tool for the casual user. Not sure what the Mac version looks like but I am struggling with the PC version.

Found some limitations annoying, but good quality otherwise
The iTrack works well, but I ended up returning it and buying a Focusrite Scarlett instead. I primarily bought the iTrack because I wanted to record into my iPhone with a better microphone, and while there are cheaper options out there, with the iTrack I could also record directly from my digital piano.Pros:The headphones and microphone that come with the iTrack seemed good. It comes with an XLR cable, which you could use with other equipment as well. Setup is incredibly easy; simply plug the USB cable (included) into your computer and record into your preferred audio software (I’m using a Mac with Amadeus Pro). Or to record into an iPad, download Focusrite’s Tape app. I didn’t try their Impact app for iPhone, so I can’t attest to that.Cons:The microphone has a screw base, but I can’t figure out what type of mike stand it’s supposed to be compatible with. I had to squeeze the mike into a flexible plastic holder I already had, which barely fit. The iPad app won’t export uncompressed audio, which sort of makes sense due to storage limitations, but if you have any intention of editing later, you’ll want to record into a computer. If you just need an mp3 with some trimming and a few built-in filters, this is a quick-n-dirty solution. I had this vision of just taking the iTrack and iPad with me to a gig, with the iPad providing the power via Lightning port. But here’s the most important part — the iTrack is *only* USB powered. So you either need to connect it to a laptop, or use an iPhone/iPad charger adapter (not included, but you already have one if you have one of those devices). So if you don’t have a laptop, bring an extension cord too.My feeling was, if I have to bring a laptop to record full-quality and provide USB power anyway, I might as well return this and get the Scarlett. A similar mike and headphones, combined with the same base model Scarlett, will run about the same price. Or if you already have mikes and headphones, get a nicer Scarlett with more ports and options (which is what I did). For my needs, the Lightning port on the iTrack is almost useless since it won’t power the device and the app only exports compressed audio. But I could see how some people might have a use for it.

Peccato!

  8. Amazon Customer

I love the studio, but link cable is defective.
Very good kit, easy to intall and easy to use. I personally like it a lot, but there’s a big issue with it. My lightning cable stopped working just one month after I bought it. I already had read that tjis happened to other people, but I thought it was just a rare issue. I contacted Focusrite and told them I need a replacement cable plus one extra because I use my itrack studio a lot and I can’t waste time while my cable is not working. I told them that it didn’t matter if I had to pay for the second one, and they said that they will place my request. They only sent one cable and now I’m hoping that it doesn’t break soon.
