MacOS (e.g., Monterey) Software Still Under Development
Interface feature set is promising (16 inputs – e.g., great for drum modules with lots of outputs). However, if you’re using a Mac, be aware that the software (drivers and control panel) are still under development. As of this review, there is no control panel available for Mac, and the drivers are beta. And as to be expected with beta software, there are apparent bugs (e.g., when monitoring output from the Mac via the U168XT’s headphone ports, the volume is louder out of the left channel than it should be – verified that this is a problem with the interface by swapping in another brand of interface and verifying that the problem doesn’t exist). Has the potential to be great once the software is done, but for now be aware of issues if you’re planning to use with a Mac.
